- Recession is over at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase and Wall Street. Certainly wouldn't want them to suffer since they are a major contributor to this mess. There was some question as to how to pay for extension of unemployment benefits. Simple.

- The conspiracy of silence is deafening. Babcock and Osgood agree to say Osgood is not hurt and the press writes nothing (that's not news to anyone, is it?). The announcers alluded to it but then let it go. Yes, this is the tradition in hockey but it was painfully clear he was hurt.

- College football should alter the pass interference rule so it mimics pro football's. Currently there is no parity between the crime and the penalty, particularly when the outcome is at stake.
